What is SW Coupling?
The socket weld couplingis a pipe connection piece machined by round steel or steel ingot die forging. Its connection form is socket welding (Socket Welding-SW), and the steel pipe is inserted into the socket hole for welding. Therefore, it is called “Socket weld”.
Socket weld coupling can be widely used in pipes of different diameters, including , TEE, CROSS, etc. Due to the use of socket structure, the cost of pipe joints are reduced, installation, use, and maintenance are extremely convenient, and there are high leak-proof ability. The main manufacturing standards are ASME 16.11 and common materials are carbon steel A105, stainless steel 304 and 316.
