Due to its unique winding structure and the characteristics of the filler, the spiral wound gasket can provide a reliable sealing effect under different pressure and temperature conditions. In the pipeline connection of the petrochemical industry, it can effectively prevent the leakage of oil, gas and other media.
Spiral wound gaskets are widely used in pipelines in petrochemical, machinery, electricity, metallurgy, shipbuilding, medicine, atomic energy and aerospace departments. Especially in the occasions where it needs to withstand high temperature, high pressure or corrosive media, spiral wound gaskets can play their excellent sealing performance.

How to choose a spiral wound gasket

Medium Characteristics: According to the properties of the medium in the pipeline, such as corrosiveness, toxicity, etc., select the appropriate metal belt and filler material. For example, for highly corrosive media, corrosion-resistant stainless steel metal belts and polytetrafluoroethylene fillers should be selected.

Working Pressure and Temperature: According to the working pressure and temperature range of the pipeline system, select a spiral wound gasket that can withstand the corresponding conditions. In high temperature and high pressure environments, it is necessary to select gaskets with high strength, high temperature resistant materials and structural designs.

Flange Type and Size: The size and shape of the spiral wound gasket should match the type and size of the flange to ensure the tightness and sealing effect of the installation.
