ASME B16.11 socket weld tee is a pipe fitting mainly used in pipeline systems. It has three interfaces, one of which is a socket and the other two are spigots. It is connected to other pipes or pipe fittings by means of a socket connection. This connection method makes the installation and maintenance of the pipeline system relatively convenient.

The socket part of the socket weld tee usually has a certain depth, and there is an annular sealing groove inside for placing sealing materials, such as rubber sealing rings, to ensure the sealing of the connection. The outer diameter of the spigot part is slightly smaller than the inner diameter of the socket so that the socket can be inserted smoothly. In the main part of the socket weld tee, the wall thickness is designed according to factors such as the pressure level of the pipeline system to ensure the safety of the pipe fitting when it is under pressure.
